Who are we? — Who invented the AMI program & SMART™ Shot
Dr Voelker is a practicing pulmonologist, director of Doctor's Hospital Pulmonary and Critical Care Department and on numerous committees at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Florida, USA. Board certified in internal medicine and is listed in "Who's Who" in medicine.
Dr Voelker developed the formula & started running the AMI Stop Smoking Program part-time after hours from his Sarasota surgery. With an increasing patient rosta and existing Hospital duties, he then franchised the program to four other Florida-based Doctors now providing the treatment to their patients.
AMI Stop Smoking Clinic handle the patient calls, patient screening & scheduling — based upon your diary and how many hours per week you can do. On average you would expect to see 5 to 6 patients per hour. From there, our counselors call the patients every other day until they are secure in their new non-smoking lifestyle.
